Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Specialist to join the Warren GM facility team in Warren, MI. The role requires warehouse/logistics experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with a Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm schedule.

The position is salaried with a $60,000–$64,000 annual range and full benefits. Responsibilities include setting daily goals, planning corrective actions, training staff, and driving continuous improvement across location operations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to train hourly staff and supervisors and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with warehouse operations and safety standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily/shift goals of facility and work groups.
• Plan and report toward achieving operational goals.
• Assist and train hourly, SNE or other specialists.
• Lead training and ensure policy understanding across teams.
• Make location-related decisions including demand planning and customer interactions.
• Support system and process training for employees.
• Perform operational admin tasks and identify issues to drive LEAN improvements.

Compensation Information

Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type: Salaried

Minimum Pay Range: 60000

Maximum Pay Range: 64000

Essential Functions

• Communicate daily/shift goals of facility and work group(s).
• Communicate and report plans to obtain operational goals.
• Assist with and train hourly, SNE or other specialists.
• Lead and initiate employees through in depth training and continuous review of employee understanding of policies, procedures and processes.
• Decision Making for location activities to include but not limited to demand planning, supplier calls, customer interactions, specialized process troubleshooting, etc.
• Support and aid in the development of system and process training for employees in the work group(s).
• Perform operational administrative functions to support location activities and / or customer Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and results.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maybe used as a floater to complete all Supply Chain Ops Associate roles across multiple shifts
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with employees, peers and management
• Strong organizational, follow-up and computer skills required
• Ability to work self directed with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage individual performance and employee relations
• Ability to use sound judgement when information is incomplete or ambiguous
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) intermediate preferred
• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) intermediate required
• OSHA intermediate required
• DOT and Hazmat (based on the account) intermediate preferred

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED
• One (1) year or more in logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
• One (1) year or more Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) intermediate preferred
• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) intermediate required
• OSHA intermediate required
• DOT and Hazmat (based on the account) intermediate preferred
• Travel None
