Job summary

New England Wire Products, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain & Material Planner to manage inbound and outbound material flow and ensure inventory accuracy in SAP. You will support production continuity through planning, scheduling, and supplier coordination across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP ERP in inventory and materials management.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
• Familiarity with MRP and Kanban systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with freight carriers and managing purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Inbound Logistics & Materials Coordination: Schedule inbound freight and track supplier ETAs.
• Production & Material Planning: Review production schedules and ensure materials are available in SAP.
• Outbound Logistics & Intercompany Transfers: Coordinate truck shipments and Stock Transfer Orders.
• Inventory & Kanban Management: Maintain Kanban stock levels and accurate inventory records.
• Supplier & Quoting Support: Assist with RFQs and supplier pricing responses.

This person will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound material flow across multiple facilities, ensuring inventory accuracy in SAP, and supporting production continuity through effective planning, scheduling, and supplier coordination. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, SAP experience, and a solid understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.Health and dental coverage, a retirement plan, paid holidays, and vacation offered.Inbound Logistics & Materials CoordinationSchedule inbound freight and obtain transportation quotes from suppliersTrack shipment ETAs to ensure materials arrive on time for productionReview packing lists and verify receipts within SAPUpdate purchase orders and delivery dates to support accurate MRP planningManage supplier shipments through the ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) portalProduction & Material PlanningReview production schedules to confirm required materials are availableMaintain accurate material and inventory records in SAPTroubleshoot and resolve failed inventory or material transactionsOutbound Logistics & Intercompany TransfersCoordinate truck shipments between company facilitiesCreate and manage Stock Transfer Orders (STOs)Prepare documentation and materials for scheduled and after-hours shipmentsPlan shipments of boxes, tubing, mesh, and other production materialsInventory & Kanban ManagementManage Kanban inventory systems to maintain proper stock levelsMonitor purchase orders and replenish materials as neededSupplier & Quoting SupportAssist with material sourcing and pricing quotesManage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and track supplier responsesQualifications – Supply Chain & Material PlannerDegree in Supply Chain or Operations Management desiredExperience with SAP ERP system, particularly in inventory and materials management modulesStrong understanding of supply chain and logistics processesFamiliarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and Kanban systemsExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExperience working with freight carriers and managing purchase ordersProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteSelf-starter with strong attention to detailTeam player with a positive, solutions-oriented attitudeJoin New England Wire Products Inc. and be part of a team that values craftsmanship and quality!
