Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is offering a 6-month Master Data Management Co-op for students pursuing an advanced degree in IT, analytics, or related fields. You will support governance, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration across Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, and Digital Technology & Engineering.

The program launches in January 2027, with a rolling review of applications and a firm deadline of November 15.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's or master's in Supply Chain, IT, Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship for internships.
• Enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2027.
• Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week Jan–Jul 2027.
• Preferred: familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Support master data governance and establish data ownership, stewardship, and escalation pathways.
• Draft and maintain master data management processes, workflows, and reference materials.
• Collect, analyze, and present metric results and opportunities for process improvement.
• Review and maintain master data and planning parameters in systems like OPM and Kinaxis RapidResponse.
• Create materials for team workshops, agendas, notes, logs, and action trackers.
• Coordinate with planners and stakeholders to capture feedback on processes and data needs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align on master data and planning activities.
• Organize training content and track feedback, revisions, and open items.
