Job summary

MITER Brands is hiring a Materials Manager in Oregon to lead Purchasing and Receiving, ensure inventory accuracy, and optimize material flow to the line. Responsibilities include reducing stock-outs, tracking manufacturing costs, and supporting month-end close.

The role requires a degree in a related field, several years of manufacturing leadership experience, and strong Excel/data skills. You will report to the location leadership team and contribute to continuous improvement and on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field required.
• Three+ years in an operations leadership role with direct reports.
• Five+ years in a manufacturing setting with career advancement.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Experience overseeing multiple departments in a made-to-order facility.
• Knowledge of inventory replenishment methods (Min/Max, Reorder Point, Kanban, MRP, etc.).
• Experience in production planning, procurement, and inventory control desired.
• ASCM/APICS certification is a plus; Oracle experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Drive accountability to a safety-first culture across departments.
• Lead Procurement, Scheduling, and Receiving to enhance productivity and engagement.
• Develop strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions and optimize working capital.
• Champion daily visual management for the Supply Chain organization.
• Analyze inventory turns, shortages, costing, and waste to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve pricing, quality, and delivery.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for location management.
