What To Expect

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our direct procurement team, supporting our manufacturing operations through the direct sourcing of raw materials. These will include specific commodities related to our in-house and Tier 1 partner operations. This role will report to our Lead Supply Chain Manager and may also support various Engineering groups within Tesla.

What You'll Do

1. Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure NDAs, GTCs, Piece Price Agreements, and other contracts are negotiated, agreed, and documented before business initiation.
2. Drive raw material price negotiations to meet Tesla’s cost expectations while maintaining quality standards, and lead cost reduction initiatives.
3. Manage category strategies including market analysis, cost modeling, and risk mitigation plans.
4. Maintain supplier relationships, handle dispute resolution, and conduct performance reviews.
5. Support project timelines through cross-functional collaboration, using tools like action trackers and Gantt charts.
6. Analyze purchasing data and prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
7. Collaborate proactively with teams, managing multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Bring

1. Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum 2 years in supply chain or related environments.
3. Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
4. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
5. Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Compensation

Expected salary range: $82,800 - $151,920 per year, plus bonuses and stock awards. Compensation varies based on experience, location, and other factors.
