Supply Chain Manager
The Supply Chain Manager will be an integral member of the local senior operations leadership team, creating net value for Ducommun by leading the design and ongoing execution of a competitive supply chain infrastructure. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of the supply chain for the site.

Our facility in Appleton, WI, manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for aerospace, defense, industrial, and medical industries.
Job Summary
- Implement supply chain vision and strategic leadership, including planning, systems development, cost estimating, source selection, contracting, strategic partnering, supplier management, compliance, and program execution.
- Manage site supply inventory and collaborate with internal customers to optimize procurement processes.
- Lead local supply chain teams to participate in and optimize cross-site processes, driving efficiencies across all Ducommun sites.
- Build and lead a high-performance supply chain team, including hiring, training, development, and performance management.
- Manage the annual procurement budget, aiming for cost savings aligned with company goals.
- Work closely with site leadership to improve supply chain performance and customer satisfaction, implementing best practices for procurement processes.
- Drive supply chain management systems and processes to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Oversee supplier selection, evaluation, and management to ensure high-quality, reliable sources of supplies and information.
- Develop site-level metrics to assess and improve supply chain value, reporting progress monthly to leadership.
- Identify and promote IT solutions to enhance supply chain management and reduce costs.
- Manage key internal and external supply chain elements supporting inventory management goals.
- Participate in strategic supply chain development, including supplier identification, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with quality systems, lean and continuous improvement processes, and modern supply chain practices.
- Expertise in ERP and MRP systems.
- Proven ability to build and develop high-performance supply chain teams.
- Experience in commodity and materials management is strongly preferred.
- Logistics experience related to customer shipments is a plus.
- ISM or APICS certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10-15% to other sites and supplier locations.
- Strong business acumen, leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 7-10 years of comprehensive supply chain management experience, including senior site-level roles within the aerospace and defense industry.
