Job description

We are seeking a senior‑level, hands‑on Supply Chain leader to build, scale, and continuously improve our end‑to‑end supply chain organization. This role reports directly to the CEO and carries full ownership of Purchasing, Logistics, Inventory Control, Material Handling, and Shipping & Receiving.

The ideal candidate is a proven builder — someone who has designed supply chain teams, implemented scalable processes, integrated systems, and supported both high‑volume production and custom, engineered products. This leader is equally comfortable operating strategically and stepping into the details when needed to solve problems, remove bottlenecks, and keep production moving. Being comfortable working as a hands‑on Buyer will be critical for this role and wearing the multiple hats required to be successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead the entire supply chain function, including Purchasing, Inventory, Logistics, Material Handling, and Shipping & Receiving
  • Build, develop, and lead a multi‑disciplinary supply chain team, establishing clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations
  • Serve as the primary supply chain partner to the CEO, providing clear insights, risks, and solutions
  • Create scalable organizational structures to support growth, increasing complexity, and new customers
  • Personally manage purchasing and sourcing for critical, technical, and long‑lead materials
  • Lead supplier negotiations, RFQs, resourcing, expediting, and performance management
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and ECOs to ensure accurate and timely procurement
  • Resolve material shortages, delivery risks, engineering changes, and supply disruptions proactively and decisively
Process, Systems & Integration
  • Design and implement robust supply chain processes across purchasing, inventory management, logistics, and planning
  • Own and enforce MRP discipline, ensuring accurate data, lead times, safety stocks, and system integrity
  • Partner closely with Production Planning to align material flow with build schedules and customer demand
  • Drive system integration and continuous improvement across ERP/MRP, analytics, and supplier management tools
Inventory & Performance Management
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for supplier performance, inventory turns, on‑time delivery, cost, and working capital
  • Analyze inventory health and implement strategies to improve cycle times, cash flow, and service levels
  • Balance high‑volume repeat production with custom and engineered components, ensuring flexibility without loss of control
  • Leverage data, analytics, automation, and AI‑enabled tools to improve forecasting, planning accuracy, and supplier performance
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
  • Introduce scalable, technology‑driven solutions rather than manual workarounds
Candidate Profile
Experience
  • 6–10+ years of supply chain and purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 4+ years leading and building supply chain teams
  • Proven experience supporting high‑mix, high‑volume, and custom products, not just repeat part production
  • Background in electronics, automotive, HVAC, aerospace, or other technically complex manufacturing preferred
Education & Certifications
  • APICS, CPIM, and/or CSCP strongly preferred
Skills & Attributes
  • Proven ability to operate as both a strategic leader and a hands‑on problem solver
  • Strong ERP/MRP expertise with a disciplined, data‑driven approach
  • Demonstrated success integrating systems, building processes, and scaling operations
  • Solution‑oriented self‑starter who can assess problems, develop options, and execute without hand‑holding
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across engineering, production, and leadership
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment where priorities shift and urgency matters
