Summary
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations, including purchasing, planning, inventory, logistics, and supplier management.
Key Activities
- Manage and improve end-to-end supply chain operations, including planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and transportation.
- Develop and maintain production and material plans based on customer demand and operational requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess, obsolete, and shortage inventory.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, pricing, lead times, and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and other required supplies.
- Analyze demand forecasts, sales trends, and production requirements to support effective supply planning.
- Work closely with Production and Operations to resolve material shortages and scheduling issues.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics and identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency.
- Develop and track key supply chain KPIs, including inventory turns, on-time delivery, supplier performance, forecast accuracy, and logistics costs.
- Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate supply chain data within ERP/MRP systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain, purchasing, planning, and logistics personnel as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing, food, packaging, or industrial environment.
- APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
- Experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or cost-reduction initiatives.
Educations & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, procurement, or operations.
