Job summary

ForceBrands in Ohio seeks an experienced Purchasing/Procurement Leader to own end-to-end sourcing for our consumer-goods manufacturing operation. You will manage purchase orders, material availability, vendor performance, and supplier relationships, with a strong focus on timely delivery and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Own purchasing and procurement activities, including purchase orders, material availability, vendor management, and order follow-through.
• Negotiate major supplier contracts and manage pricing, lead times, minimum-order quantities, performance, compliance documentation, and service expectations.
• Partner with Demand Planning to translate forecasts into purchasing and material plans, with a strong focus on seasonal production cycles.
• Monitor MRP outputs, inventory requirements, material availability, and potential production constraints.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Warehousing, Finance, Retail Operations, and senior leadership to ensure smooth execution.
• Assess current purchasing and supply chain processes and implement practical improvements to reporting, workflows, and SOPs.
• Improve the accuracy and utilization of Sage 500 while identifying opportunities to reduce manual work through integrations, automation, and AI.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials planning, or a related manufacturing function.
• Proven experience negotiating significant supplier contracts and managing both strategic vendors and day-to-day purchasing needs.
• Comfortable working with MRP and ERP systems, complex material requirements, and highly seasonal demand.
• Food, beverage, confectionery, or other consumer-goods manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Sage 500 experience is a plus, although broader ERP and MRP experience is more important.
• Organized, collaborative, and emotionally intelligent, with the ability to lead, set priorities, and keep a smaller team moving.
