AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to lead material planning, distribution requirements planning, purchasing, and related supply chain activities. You will drive day-to-day leadership of the local Supply Chain Department, mentor the team, and collaborate across facilities to implement best practices.

Responsibilities include overseeing Source, Plan, Make, Deliver processes, managing S&OP, KPIs, inventory levels, and procurement aligned with BOM and contracts.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of manufacturing management experience with a strong background in Supply Chain operational excellence.
  • Experience in FP&A and KPI management.
  • Proactive leadership and strategic thinking to address issues before they escalate.
  • Experience in medium- to large-sized manufacturing environments.

Job description

The primary function of this position is to lead and manage material planning, distribution requirements planning, purchasing, and related supply chain activities. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective flow of products throughout the supply chain while supporting customer service, plant efficiency, and working capital objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day tactical leadership and strategic direction to the local Supply Chain Department.
  • Train, mentor, and develop the Supply Chain team while driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across facilities to implement and leverage supply chain best practices.
  • Ensure effective execution of core supply chain processes, including Source, Plan, Make, and Deliver.
  • Monitor business performance and manage supply/demand imbalances through the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Develop and manage KPIs.
  • Maintain appropriate finished goods and component inventory levels.
  • Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve local planning systems and tools.
  • Drive a robust S&OP process that integrates demand and supply planning with financial planning and controlling.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of excess and long-term inventory, SKU portfolios, and supplier performance.
  • Partner with Procurement and Warehouse Management to ensure supplier visibility and alignment with material requirements.
  • Manage procurement, purchasing, planning, and forecasting activities.
  • Execute purchasing activities according to Bill of Materials (BOM) and contractual requirements.
  • Analyze forecast, MRP, and ERP data to ensure timely procurement of materials required for manufacturing.
  • Identify material shortages and implement corrective action plans.
Required Skills & Competencies:
  • 6+ years of manufacturing management experience with a strong background in Supply Chain operational excellence.
  • BBA in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Experience working in a medium- to large-sized manufacturing environment.
  • Proactive leadership style with the ability to identify, anticipate, and resolve potential issues before they become significant problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Strong decision-making, leadership, and strategic-thinking capabilities.
  • Proven KPI management experience.
