Job summary

Valeo North America in Smyrna, GA, is seeking a Logistics Trainee/Apprentice for a fixed-term one-year contract, full-time schedule. This role supports day-to-day logistics operations, including order processing, warehousing and transportation, with 30+ hours per week.

The ideal candidate is a senior-status student or recent graduate with a BA/BS in Supply Chain or Logistics, proficient in Google Workspace, capable of independent work and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Senior status or recent graduate with a BA/BS in Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in day to day operations of all logistic activities including order processing, material handling, warehousing and transportation
• Be involved in data analysis, documentation management and improvement projects within the department
• Provide administrative support for various logistic processes such as order processing, inventory control and material handling
• Analyze data related to shipments, deliveries and transportation costs to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Assist in maintaining records and documents related to logistics activities
• Support special projects and initiatives within the logistics department
• Participate in meetings and discussions with team members to stay updated on current issues and future plans
