Job summary

Rocket Lab in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to support inventory optimization, supplier relationships and risk mitigation to balance availability with costs. You will work with mentors to apply engineering and industry concepts, attend frequent progress reviews, and engage in networking events with interns and staff.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a relevant degree program, maintain a GPA of 3.0+, and have 3+ months of corporate supply chain experience.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate program in an engineering discipline, supply chain, business administration, or operation management with at least one semester remaining.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of corporate function experience within the areas of supply chain.

As a Supply Chain Intern based at Rocket Lab's site in Silver Spring, Maryland, you will have the opportunity to support the team that optimizes inventory levels, handles supplier relationships, and mitigates operational risks to balance high product availability with minimal working capital and freight costs. The Supply Chain and Procurement team manages the end-to-end flow of materials necessary to sustain production lines and satisfy customer demand.

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate program in an engineering discipline, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Operation Management and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.

• GPA of 3.0 or above.

• 3+ months of corporate function experience within the areas ofsupply chain.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE

• GPA of 3.5 or above.

• 6+ months of corporate function experience within the areas ofsupply chain.

• AdvancedExcel (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, INDEX/MATCH)

• Experience with SQL, PowerBI, and Tableau

• Experience with ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027

COMPENSATION AND OTHER BENEFITS

• Pay Range MD: $22.00 USD Hourly

• You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize relocation costs

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
