Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, Integrated Supply Management, or Logistics.
• Strong academic performance.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• This internship is full-time, 40 hours per week, and on-location.

Responsibilities

• Develop a knowledgeable background regarding MPC's policies and procedures related to procurement, contracts and materials management.
• Engage in cross-functional category management activities.
• Gain an understanding of market and spend analysis.
• Prepare and analyze bid packages.
• Negotiate contractual terms and commercial issues.
• Complete projects related to inventory control, transportation, and logistics.
• Develop an understanding of the Supply Chain systems.
• Identify, visualize and analyze data to obtain business insights.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Finance, Supply Chain and IT to advance integrated systems.

Education

Bachelor's in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, Integrated Supply Management, and/or Logistics
