Job summary

USA Rare Earth is seeking a motivated Supply Chain Intern to assist with day-to-day inventory management, organization, and accuracy. You will gain hands-on experience in inventory control, purchasing, receiving, data entry, and operational processes within a manufacturing-forward environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable with numbers, and eager to learn how inventory control supports the business.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college, university, or a relevant program preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Comfortable working with numbers and computer-based systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, counting, labeling, and organizing incoming inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within the company’s inventory management system.
• Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
• Research and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Assist with product identification, SKU management, and inventory location organization.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential overstock or out-of-stock situations.
• Assist the purchasing and operations teams with inventory-related projects.
• Verify received products against purchase orders and packing documentation.
• Help maintain an organized and efficient stockroom or warehouse.
• Enter and update inventory information accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare inventory reports and assist with analyzing inventory data.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding inventory handling, security, safety, and documentation.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
