Job summary

Kiewit Supply Network is offering a Summer Supply Chain Intern position based in the United States. You will gain hands-on exposure across estimating, contracts, purchasing, logistics, and material management while supporting our construction operations.

The internship emphasizes real-world learning with travel opportunities, relocation as needed, and a focus on strong customer service, teamwork, and professional development during the May–August period.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Genuine interest and passion for purchasing/procurement.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time during the summer (May–August).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives.
• Purchase the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts per specifications and drawings.
• Maintain and review records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, availability, and reputation.
• Evaluate and monitor contract performance for compliance and changes.
• Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
• Design and present an End of Program Presentation to showcase your work and development.
