Job summary

Allegion seeks a Summer Intern in Supply Chain to support purchasing and materials planning by analyzing parameters, standardizing supplier onboarding, and documenting supplier-change processes. You’ll work with a Purchasing Supervisor and Buyer mentors to drive data-driven decisions that improve inventory turns and lower costs.

This role requires onsite work in Mount Comfort, IN. You’ll gain hands-on experience through a structured program, mentorship, and exposure to Allegion’s global supply

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Business Administration, or related field.
• Previous internship, project experience, or relevant coursework in purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical skills to review data, quantify gaps, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for documenting processes and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills to manage deliverables and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Review current purchasing parameters against Allegion Playbook and propose changes to improve forecast accuracy and safety stock.
• Create a comprehensive supplier onboarding playbook with guides, checklists, data capture, and flows.
• Document a supplier-change process for handoffs to GSM and materials planning teams.
• Deliver a gap-analysis report and pilot onboarding changes with one or two suppliers.
• Collaborate with GSM, materials planning, and inventory control to reduce supply disruption risk.
