Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc is inviting motivated interns to join its Supply Chain team for hands‑on experience in procurement, sourcing, and contract administration. You’ll work on data analytics, records management, and governance initiatives to ensure material readiness and cost efficiency.

As a May 2027 start, you’ll collaborate with professionals across departments, gain exposure to SAP‑based tools, and develop leadership and problem‑solving skills in a large utility environment.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in an accredited college/university and pursuing a degree in a related field.
• Able to work full‑time during summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part‑time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week).
• Relevant coursework or experience in supply chain, analytics, or business administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing, sourcing, contract, supplier and other Supply Chain activities to support daily operations.
• Gather, organize, and review supply chain data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Create reports, dashboards, and status updates communicating key information to the team.
• Support inventory, logistics, and planning activities to improve safety, service, cost and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records and system information to support data quality and audit readiness.
• Contribute to projects and process improvements strengthening Supply Chain processes.
