Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is offering an internship opportunity in engineering to support reliability, availability, efficiency, and functionality of plant equipment and processes. The role involves rotation through areas such as Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, and Reliability to gain hands-on knowledge.

Candidates must be enrolled in a 4-year engineering program, proficient in AutoCAD, and in good academic standing.

Formación

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Pursuing BS or MS in an engineering discipline.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar systems.
• Official transcripts must be received before start date.
• In good academic standing with your school.

Responsabilidades

• Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups to ensure practical engineering solutions.
• EIT (Engineer in Training) Program with rotation through plant areas such as Safety, Operations, Maintenance, I&C, Reliability and Environmental.
• Will be assigned various engineering projects.
• Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Possess the ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Luminant personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions.
• EIT (Engineer in Training) Program. Incumbents will rotate through the different areas of the plant to gain a working knowledge of those areas of the plant. Areas include, but are not limited to Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, Reliability and Chemical / Environmental
• Will be assigned various engineering projects.
• Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Possess the ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internship.
• Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in one of our desired engineering disciplines.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar systems
• Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date
• Must be in good academic standing with your school
