Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Rochester, NY seeks a Supply Chain Intern to support procurement and sourcing activities. You will submit RFQs, procure materials, and assist in negotiating terms to optimize total cost of ownership while ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

The role emphasizes learning supply chain processes, interfacing with receiving and accounting, and understanding FAR/DFAR/ITAR regulations in a real-world environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, General Business Management, Business Administration or related field

Responsibilities

• Submit RFQ’s to suppliers to develop CML (Consolidated Material Lists) pricing
• Procure material, equipment, supplies, services, and commodity products of low to medium value and medium to high volume
• Negotiate price, delivery and quality of products/services and determinesupplier selections
• Track all Purchase Orders through reports, work matched exceptions, open commitments, receiving discrepancies, returns, supplier discrepancies, and problem reports/supplier corrective action responses
• Interface with receiving and accounting to resolve issues
• Confer with suppliers to determine factors that affect competitive total cost of ownership consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
• Interpret FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules and regulations regardingimport/export control certifications and licenses

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $18.00 - $36.00/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays.
