Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Athens, TN is seeking a general production worker to assist with packaging, loading, and basic processing tasks. You will work in a fast-paced environment, follow directions, and contribute to a clean and safe production area.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read and write English, with teamwork and basic math skills. Training on GMP and safety practices is provided, and certification may be required during the course of

Qualifications

• Warehouse or production experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators as necessary
• Load and/or unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and pallets
• Move, stack, or place items on conveyor manually or by mechanized means
• Deliver production or area specific items to designated work areas for processing
• Pack products in crates or boxes by hand
• Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place in assembled units
• Mark or put identifying labels on product loads
• Construct or de-construct shipping boxes
• Maintain general housekeeping of the assigned area
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
• Report quality and operational issues or irregularities to supervisor as they occur
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA GMP and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

GENERAL PURPOSE

Perform a variety of general duties of a basic, repetitive, and/or manual nature that are relevant to the work area(s) being supported.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist operators as necessary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
