Job Overview

The Supply Chain Director oversees supply chain and logistics to ensure efficiency, productivity, and compliance in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Responsibilities include developing strategies, monitoring performance, and implementing policies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and align activities with company goals and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement supply chain strategies to meet company goals, forecast demand, and adapt to market changes
• Oversee procurement, production, warehousing, and distribution for seamless operations
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate performance
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, implement control techniques, and align production with customer trends
• Coordinate transportation and collaborate with third-party logistics providers
• Monitor costs, develop budgets, and implement savings strategies
• Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements
• Identify risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and enforce health and safety policies
• Develop and mentor the supply chain team for continuous improvement

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field
• 10+ years of supply chain management experience, preferably in pharma, biotech, or life sciences; IVD experience preferred
• At least 5 years leading teams of 5 or more in managerial roles
• Proven career stability, with an average tenure of 30+ months and experience at fewer than 7 companies
• Strong expertise in supply chain operations, procurement, compliance, and quality assurance in regulated industries
• Proficient in ERP and supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and project management skills
• Fluency in Mandarin required for international operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD
• Knowledge of FDA, GMP, and ISO 13485 regulations
• Experience managing global logistics and implementing lean supply chain practices
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with ability to perform under pressure
