The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain function at All Flex Solutions, optimizing production workflows across the company’s multi-facility manufacturing footprint while ensuring a resilient and cost-effective supply network. The Director of Supply Chain reports to the Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain.

The Position

The Director of Supply Chain leads the end-to-end supply chain strategy, material planning, procurement, and logistics for All Flex Solutions. This senior leader will optimize production workflows across All Flex Solutions' multi-facility manufacturing footprint, ensuring a resilient and cost-effective supply network. With the company’s focus on the aerospace, medical device, and defense sectors, the Director of Supply Chain will ensure all material procurement strictly aligns with stringent quality standards and regulatory frameworks, maintaining absolute supply chain integrity and absolute compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and MIL-PRF specifications.

Because All Flex Solutions serves fast turnaround and quick-turn prototype schedules, this leader must proactively identify and eliminate single-source vulnerabilities and bottleneck risks to meet customer commitments. Working alongside the production and plant management teams, the Director of Supply Chain develops and executes sales and operations planning (S&OP) to guarantee a continuous supply of highly specialized materials, linking sales forecasts directly to shop floor scheduling.

Major elements of the Director of Supply Chain’s responsibilities include:

• Vendor and Commodity Management: Negotiate strategic long-term contracts with global suppliers of specialty electronics components, polyimides, laminates, and chemistry lines to mitigate price volatility.
• Inventory Control and Traceability: Oversee multi-site warehouse operations, material handling, and material tracking in the ERP system to ensure complete component traceability.
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and eliminate single-source vulnerabilities and bottleneck risks to meet fast turnaround and quick-turn prototype schedules for customers.
• Continuous Improvement: Spearhead lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives within logistics to reduce material waste, lower costs, and scale production volume.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain absolute supply chain integrity and absolute compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and MIL-PRF specifications.
• Strategic Sourcing and S&OP: Develop and execute sales and operations planning (S&OP) alongside the production and plant management teams to guarantee a continuous supply of highly specialized materials.
• Quality: Support quality initiatives, including ISO audits, supplier audits, and Supplier Corrective Action Response (SCAR) activities.
• Supplier Performance: Measure and drive strategic supplier performance through supplier scorecards.
• Training and Development: Drive employee training and development, ensuring skillsets, performance, and organizational capability can support current and future business needs.

Candidate Profile

The Director of Supply Chain provides leadership to the end-to-end supply chain function at All Flex Solutions, bringing a collaborative mindset to a role that works across the organization. This leader has a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical projects, manage priorities, and implement improvements in a fast-paced production environment.

This key position requires eight to 10 or more years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials planning within an electronics, PCB, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing environment. A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, or a related technical field is required; an MBA or professional certifications such as APICS CSCP or CPIM are preferred.

• Compliance Knowledge: has deep, working knowledge of ITAR regulations and defense/aerospace standards.
• Industry Standards: has a working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IPC-6013, IPC-A-600, and applicable customer requirements.
• Technical Proficiency: is proficient with Microsoft Office applications and has working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, statistical analysis software, CAD, and manufacturing data systems.
• Negotiation and Business Acumen: has exceptional contract negotiation skills, high-level business acumen, and a collaborative mindset capable of linking sales forecasts directly to shop-floor scheduling.
• Change Management: has proven experience in change management and driving cultural adoption of Lean principles.
• Communication: has strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with production employees, technical teams, suppliers, and customers.

Locations

All Flex Solutions is headquartered in Northfield, Minnesota, and has five manufacturing facilities: one in Northfield, Minnesota; three in Bloomington, Minnesota; and one in Milpitas, California. The Director of Supply Chain will be based in Bloomington, Minnesota. Working arrangements will include a mix of being onsite in both Bloomington and Northfield, along with occasional travel to Milpitas and for industry, customer, and supplier contacts.

We offer a competitive base salary in the $150,000 to $190,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with an annual bonus and the opportunity to participate in long-term incentives, including a stock appreciation rights (SARs) program.
