Qualifications

  • 10+ years in supply chain management and logistics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain or similar discipline.
  • Consultative sales experience in logistics with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Understanding of logistics solutions across international transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Subject-matter expertise in at least one major industry vertical.
  • Proficiency in creating written business case recommendations including financial factors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of optimization methodologies and tools.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing decision-makers in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional and remote project teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; public speaking.
  • Fluency in English; multilingual desirable.

Overview

The Supply Chain Development Regional Manager is part of Maersk’s Global Supply Chain Development (SCD) function within Maersk Sales & Marketing. The role reports to one of the regional heads of SCD and is a key contributor to logistics solution sales wins for Maersk’s largest customers – Key Clients, Strategic Clients and Enterprise Clients.

The role works closely with account managers for these customers to identify, qualify and pitch compelling value propositions. Through high‑impact customer engagement, thought leadership and deep industry knowledge, the manager creates customized and innovative supply‑chain solutions. The position is customer‑facing and collaborates with commercial pursuit teams for nominated customers. It also contributes to continuous improvement and innovation in the Supply Chain Development team and the wider commercial organization, and is recognized globally as a thought leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Focus and grow
    • Grow Supply Chain solution sales for specific Maersk customer segments by identifying and qualifying opportunities with prioritized customers.
    • Lead the identification of customers’ Supply Chain needs/pain points and develop tailored Maersk value propositions to fit their needs, as instructed by Supply Chain Development Leadership.
  • Engage
    • Engage effectively with internal stakeholders in the region (customer account managers, sales leaders, product managers) to identify and win opportunities.
    • Enable SCD to differentiate Maersk through high‑value engagements.
  • Enable
    • Contribute to repeatable frameworks for supply chain solution selling and supporting analyses.
    • Contribute to a global team culture of Thought Leadership, Collaboration & Best Practice sharing.
    • Support SCD leadership in key priority tasks concerning the SCD team.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years’ experience in supply chain management and logistics, preferably within a 3PL, logistics consulting firm or global corporation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain or a similar discipline.
  • Consultative sales experience in logistics, demonstrating a customer‑centric mindset in direct engagements.
  • Excellent understanding of logistics solutions and operations covering all modes of international transportation, warehousing and distribution, e‑commerce and 4PL solutions.
  • Subject‑matter expertise in supply chains of at least one major industry vertical such as retail, lifestyle/fashion, technology, FMCG, chemicals or automotive.
  • Proficient in creating written business case recommendations, including financial, service, risk and sustainability factors.
  • Innovative and creative thinker with strong problem‑solving skills and comfort managing uncertainties.
  • Expertise in supply chain modelling and analysis, with knowledge of optimization methodologies and tools.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, building strong networks and influencing decision makers in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to manage cross‑functional and remote project teams with strong project management skills.
  • Resilient to change, comfortable with fast shifting priorities and workloads.
  • Self‑starter, self‑motivated, comfortable with high autonomy and teamwork.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; confident public speaker.
  • Fluency in English and local language required; multilingual (Spanish, Portuguese) desirable.

Salary

$100,000 – $130,000*. The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary. The company may adjust this range based on market conditions and location. Final starting salary will be determined in accordance with applicable laws.
