Supply Chain & Demand Planning Analyst

About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Supply Chain & Demand Planning Analyst to manage operational activities for several major national retail accounts (including key partnerships with sales, logistics, and retail management).
In this role, you will be directly responsible for weekly demand forecasting, sales trend reporting, customer order execution, and root-cause analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Order Management, and Logistics—to drive sales revenue, ensure on-time customer delivery, and optimize profitability.
Note: This position is intended for long-term stability with multi-year engagement and extension potential.
Top Core Competencies
- Demand Planning & Forecasting: 3–10 years of experience managing weekly demand forecasts, sell-through analysis, and sales-to-actual variance reporting.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel: High proficiency with complex formulas, large manual dataset manipulation, and data modeling. (Macro/VBA programming is a strong plus).
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively across internal business units and national retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly Demand Forecasting: Maintain and update weekly demand forecasts within supply chain systems; monitor sales-to-actual trends to drive baseline KPI improvements.
- Order & Logistics Management: Oversee the end-to-end shipment lifecycle to ensure orders are processed and delivered on time to meet customer-requested delivery dates.
- Root-Cause Analysis: Conduct root-cause analysis on order, delivery, or inventory discrepancies to resolve customer fulfillment issues promptly.
- Process Improvement & Analytics: Analyze customer sell-through data, track inventory health, and implement process improvements across retail accounts.
- Cross-Functional Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with external retail account representatives and internal teams across Sales, Logistics, Marketing, and Order Management.
- Reporting: Compile, maintain, and publish regular KPI reports, production schedules, and shipment summaries.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 10 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Demand Planning. (Retail client experience preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field required (or equivalent professional experience).
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel: Proficient in complex data functions, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, and working with large manual spreadsheets.
- Knowledge or experience with VBA / Macro programming is a major plus.
- Experience with SAP, BW, or BI tools is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills & Attributes:
- High attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and rigorous follow-up capabilities.
- Ability to learn complex, manual spreadsheet models quickly.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a willingness to work hard and adapt to overtime (OT) needs during peak operational cycles. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi‑cultural corporate environment.
