Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor material availability, inventory levels, and production requirements to identify shortages and risks.
• Track supplier shipments and coordinate with suppliers/logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Expedite critical materials and follow up on late or at-risk deliveries.
• Investigate and help resolve supply chain disruptions affecting production.
• Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, purchasing, logistics, quality, warehouse and manufacturing teams.
• Maintain accurate material/shipment/inventory data within ERP and material planning systems.
• Prepare daily reports on shortages, delivery performance, and production risks.
• Collaborate with production planning to align material availability with vehicle production schedule.
• Track open issues through resolution and escalate critical risks when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow and logistics processes.

Job description

We are looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to support uninterrupted production by ensuring materials and components are available where and when they are needed. This role works across suppliers, production planning, purchasing, warehousing, transportation, and manufacturing to monitor material flow, identify potential shortages, and quickly resolve issues that could impact production.

This is a hands-on coordination role for someone who is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities can change quickly.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor material availability, inventory levels, production requirements, and incoming deliveries to identify shortages and potential production risks.
• Track supplier shipments and coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure materials arrive on time and at the correct location.
• Expedite critical materials and follow up on late, incomplete, or at-risk deliveries.
• Investigate and help resolve supply chain disruptions, including material shortages, transportation delays, inventory discrepancies, and quality-related material holds.
• Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, purchasing, logistics, quality, warehouse, and manufacturing teams.
• Maintain accurate material, shipment, and inventory information within ERP and material planning systems.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports covering shortages, delivery performance, inventory status, and production risks.
• Collaborate with production planning to align material availability and deliveries with the vehicle production schedule.
• Track open issues and actions through resolution, escalating critical risks when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, supplier performance, inventory accuracy, and logistics processes.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in supply chain, material planning, logistics, production control, purchasing, or manufacturing operations.
• Understanding of inventory management, material requirements, supplier deliveries, and production planning.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and maintaining accurate material and inventory data.
• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills; experience with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate shortages and coordinate solutions across multiple teams.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and follow multiple open issues through completion.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of urgency when production is at risk.
• Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience is a plus.
