Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automotive Supply Chain Analyst to join our dynamic automotive team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and finished goods from manufacturing facilities to our customers, supporting production schedules, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive supply chain processes, excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and the capacity to collaborate across various departments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock using internal direction, utilizing ERP systems for accurate tracking and forecasting.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and managing logistics partners effectively.
  • Production Support: Work closely with production teams to align material availability with production schedules, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, forecast demand, and generate reports for management review. Track and forecast inventory needs and manage inventory control systems. Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service levels. Building positive relationships with customers by providing excellent service.
  • Communication with internal and external partners: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with our production planning team and mfg. using our KPI SPCL file. Assisting customers with their inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to customers.
  • Resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, order accuracy, and documentation. Including FIFO and DOH maintenance of inventory flow in and out of service centers.
  • Project Management: Managing projects, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
  • Build and maintain a good business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service so as to promote customer loyalty & satisfaction.
  • Ensures exact delivery and excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders, communication, and coordinating with other departments to resolve inquiries.
  • Continuously train and develop the SEWS Team with the knowledge and understanding of all customer procedural requirements in order to achieve 100% on time delivery performance & customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate and direct meetings to support the supply chain in order to plan for future customer orders and/or eliminate current shortages and past due orders as well as eliminate obsolescence.
  • KPI's - Support in tracking and analyzing KPI's weekly, review contingency plan, action plan and corrective actions.
  • Analyze and interpret customer scorecards to evaluate supply chain performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Program Management activities related to internal/external costs, production problems, delivery & performance ratings, MMOG activities and corrective action requests.
  • First point of customer contact for general inquiries such as inventory, scheduling, shipping, calendar schedules, shortages, promise dates, etc.
Qualifications
  • Work Experience: 5 – 7 years progressive experience in production and/or material planning and warehouse operations.
  • Education: Bachelor degree with concentration on Supply Chain Management or similar study preferred.
  • Skills/Certifications: English fluency required, Business Spanish reading, typing, and speaking proficiency required.
  • Proficient Microsoft Applications (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word) skills required.
  • Strong mathematical skills required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to perform in a stressful environment.
  • Sequential manufacturing / scheduling / international business / import experience preferred.
  • FORD system, FCA esupplierconnect portal experience preferred.
  • Others: Knowledge of the effective manufacture and distribution of finished goods, primarily on Automotive industry.
