Job summary

Höganäs North America seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator at our Johnstown, PA plant to receive shipments and support warehousing and logistics. The role focuses on inbound material receipt, inventory integrity, reports, and coordination with Accounts Payable and the Warehouse Manager.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s degree and at least one year of inventory management or receiving experience in manufacturing, with strong attention to detail and solid MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Label incoming materials for inventory accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts and audits of warehouse storage.
• Support Warehouse Manager in coordinating shipping and backup coverage.
• Coordinate sampling of raw material for quality testing.
• Tag and reject defective material and communicate with Purchasing.
• Inform Accounting of inventories for accuracy and maintain a safe working environment.

About the Position

Höganäs in North America is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to work at our Johnstown, PA plant.

This position is responsible to receive shipments into the plant and support the company’s supply chain with a focus on logistical and warehouse functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and receives inbound purchased materials, records into inventory software, and maintains related records.
• Prepares reports and coordinates receiving activities with Accounts Payable.
• Leads unloading of raw materials via rail system and truck shipments.
• Labels incoming materials for inventory system.
• Performs cycle counts on material stored in warehouse.
• Opens and examines inbound containers and conducts pre-loading inspections of outbound containers.
• Supports the Warehouse Manager in coordinating shipping activities and assumes responsibilities in their absence.
• Coordinates sampling of raw material for Quality testing.
• Tags, rejects, and contacts Purchasing to return defective material.
• Informs Accounting of raw materials and finished goods inventories for accuracy.
• Maintains a safe working environment for themselves and others.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will possess an Associate’s degree and at least one year experience in inventory management or receiving in a manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and good verbal, written and organizational skills are critical. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer are required.
