Job Summary:

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will lead the procurement of materials and services for the Ironton Plant, including MRO, production and safety supplies, maintenance parts, and other business services from external suppliers. The role is also responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels and production scheduling. You will ensure the supply chain function meets all plant operational requirements, enhances productivity through procurement initiatives, and adheres to corporate supply chain directives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Purchasing

• Assist with purchasing MRO, production and safety supplies, and maintenance parts for the manufacturing facility.
• Execute purchase orders with suppliers, establish lines of communication with new and existing suppliers, contact suppliers to obtain lead time on products and follow-ups on all open orders, following up on late deliveries and backordered items.
• Create, maintain, expedite and close out vendor purchase orders.
• Lead conversations with internal teams and external suppliers to identify and coordinate appropriate materials that meet technical and scheduling requirements.
  
  
  

Inventory Control

• Maintain appropriate raw material inventory levels and conduct monthly cycle counts.
• Maintain accurate ordering parameters, supplier and item information throughout all databases.
• Prepare data and analyze inventory trends, external and internal key performance metrics, and propose process improvement.
  
  
  

Receiving/Shipping

• Monitor inbound product, ensure timely receiving by our warehouses and received quantities match the expected quantities.
• Process freight and parcel deliveries including receiving into ERP system.
  
  
  

Production Scheduling/Reporting

• Manage the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure the company meets all deadlines.
  
  
  

Skills, Qualifications, Education and/or Relevant Experience:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supply Chain Management (APICS, CSCP, CPIM) certification is not necessary though strongly preferred.
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• An undergraduate degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business, or relevant industry experience.
• Experience analyzing and improving supply chain analytics, metrics and processes.
• Purchasing in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with Supply Chain activities (Procurement, MRP, Reporting, Inventory, etc. )
• Strong skills with software such as MS Office and ERP (IQMS)
