Job summary

Transcendia, Inc. is seeking a Planning Coordinator in Grand Rapids, MI to coordinate production planning, inventory management, and operational support.

You will work with Operations, Supply Chain, Shipping, and Customer Service to maintain inventory accuracy, support scheduling, manage system data, and drive operational excellence. The role requires 2+ years in planning or supply chain and hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in production planning, inventory control, operations coordination, or supply chain.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience in an ERP/MRP environment (Movex experience is a plus).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

• Review and prioritize customer orders to ensure on-time delivery and scheduling.
• Plan material requirements based on demand, inventory levels, and capacity.
• Prepare and distribute planning documentation to Operations.
• Review and audit work orders for completeness and system integrity.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, including min/max settings.
• Analyze inventory and optimize stock against new orders.
• Assist in maintaining item master data and planning parameters.
• Support cycle count and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve order, inventory, and planning discrepancies.
• Prepare reports and provide planning-related analysis for decisions.
• Provide administrative support related to planning and operations.
• Assist the Supply Chain Manager with projects and continuous improvement.

This role works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Shipping, and Customer Service teams to maintain inventory accuracy, support production scheduling, manage system data, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and prioritize customer orders to ensure on-time delivery and production scheduling requirements are met.
• Plan material requirements based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
• Prepare and distribute planning documentation to Operations to support production execution.
• Review and audit work orders for completeness, accuracy, and system integrity.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, including min/max settings, and recommend adjustments to optimize inventory performance.
• Analyze existing inventory and identify opportunities to utilize available stock against new customer orders.
• Assist in maintaining item master data, including the setup and modification of item codes and related planning parameters.
• Support cycle count and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve order, inventory, and planning discrepancies.
• Prepare reports and provide planning-related analysis to support business decisions.
• Provide administrative and clerical support related to planning and operations activities.
• Assist the Supply Chain Manager with projects, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in production planning, inventory control, operations coordination, or supply chain.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience working in an ERP/MRP environment (Movex experience considered an asset).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
