Job summary

Emerson is seeking a student through a co-op program in the United States to work on business process improvement and automation initiatives. You will help standardize commodity codes, analyze supplier data, and support supplier tooling updates, while contributing to Lean improvements and onboarding training materials.

Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint) are essential.

  • Create surveys for site feedback and drive Lean improvements.
  • Explore AI, Power BI, and Power Automation solutions.
  • Develop work instructions and onboarding training materials.

  • Develop – work instructions and training tools to aid with CM/SPE/SPPM onboarding
  • Assist – data analysis for supplier development and tensioning opportunities
  • Train – on Microsoft Automation suite, Copilot AI and other tools as required
  • Support – Commodity Managers and other team members with tasks as needed
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Problem-Solving mindset - lead with curiosity and logic
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with professionals in a wide variety of roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have a collaborative approach in team settings as well as the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field if supply chain coursework has been taken or a supply chain certification has been earned
  • Class standing of sophomore or above
  • Project Management experience
