You will partner with Engineering, Production, R&D, and Product teams to identify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and optimize cost, delivery, and lead times, driving long-term sourcing strategies that support business growth and operational excellence.

Job description

Insight Global is looking for a Supply Chain Category Manager sitting in Hanover, MD supporting a global manufacturing company. This individual will own strategic sourcing category and act as the primary point of contact for supplier strategy, market intelligence, and procurement decisions. You'll work closely with Engineering, Production, R&D, and Product teams to identify suppliers, negotiate contracts, resolve quality and delivery issues, optimize cost and lead times, and develop long-term sourcing strategies that support business growth and operational excellence.

This is a highly visible role where you'll essentially run your sourcing category like your own business. You'll partner with technical and business stakeholders to drive supplier strategy, improve operational performance, negotiate key contracts, and influence product and sourcing decisions. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working cross-functionally, and making a direct impact on cost, quality, delivery, and overall business results.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $115,000 based off experience.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
