Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care Supply Chain Department seeks a Supply Chain Associate to manage supplies in operating rooms and clinics. You will act as a liaison for clinics and ORs, using Excel, SPM, and Tableau to locate supplies, while maintaining prompt communications with hospital staff for emergencies and requests.

Position is full-time, nights (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Sunday-Thursday) based in Iowa City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
• Prompt communication with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests
• Ability to move throughout hospital, up to 25 pounds, and transport heavy case carts
• Knowledge of inventory management in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

Job description

The University of Iowa Health Care Supply Chain Department is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to manage supplies in the operating rooms and clinic areas. Duties to include:

• Serve as a Supply Chain Department liaison for clinics and operating rooms throughout the hospital and ISC.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, SPM, and Tableau to locate supplies and instruments.
• Prompt communication with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests.
• Ability to move on foot throughout hospital, move up to 25 pounds, and transport heavy case carts.
• Ability to position self to handle inventory on high or low shelving.
• Other duties as assigned.

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: 11:00p.m. to 7:30a.m. Sunday-Thursday
