Business Objective:

The goal of this role is to manage and optimize the use of Implant Manager (IPM) from Owens & Minor, ensuring seamless operation of surgical inventory, rep access, item updates, and purchase order processing. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity of implant-related supply chain data, enhancing efficiency and accuracy across departments.

Position Overview:

As the Supply Chain Application Specialist (IPM – Implant Manager), you will serve as the point person for the IPM system, supporting inventory visibility, item tracking, rep management, and procedural documentation. You will work closely with surgical teams, supply chain operations, vendor reps, and IT to ensure data accuracy and timeliness for procurement and invoicing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IPM System Management:
    • Own and manage Owens & Minor’s IPM application.
    • Track consigned implant usage per surgical procedure and manage related approvals.
    • Upload and refresh templates, resolve duplicate entries and data mismatches.
    • Manage rep access through Symplr and credentialing processes.
    • Onboard and support reps logging into the system and attaching usage to physicians/cases.
  • Data Entry & Maintenance:
    • Maintain high data accuracy, ensuring zero data integrity issues.
    • Manage Excel-based data templates, clean data (e.g., leading zeros), and format files for system compatibility.
    • Troubleshoot failed document entries and item loading issues.
  • System Optimization & Support:
    • Support ongoing process improvements and data service integration (GHX deployment).
    • Liaise with support teams to address system bugs, updates, and user issues.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3–5 years in supply chain, healthcare systems, or data management roles.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft, QSight, or Workday).

Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, formulas, handling leading zeros).
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Access and managing large datasets.
  • High adaptability to new applications and user interfaces.

Attention to Detail: Near-zero tolerance for data errors. Must ensure high data accuracy and reliability.
