Job summary

Cribs For Kids is seeking a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, order fulfillment, and transportation. The role requires hands-on leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-efficient movement of goods from receipt to delivery.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations, inventory management, order fulfillment, transportation, receiving, shipping, and supply chain processes. This role provides hands‑on leadership to ensure accurate, timely, safe, and cost‑effective movement of products and materials from receipt through final delivery.

The manager will lead day‑to‑day warehouse and fulfillment activities, coordinate with internal departments and external carriers, maintain accurate inventory records, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and continuously improve operational processes. This position will also assist Director of Systems and Distribution with administration, and ongoing optimization of the organization’s ERP system as it relates to inventory, purchasing, warehouse management, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and supply chain reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain & Warehouse Operations
  • Manage daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment operations to ensure efficient workflow and high levels of order accuracy.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily shipments, including freight, ground, online store, and other customer orders.
  • Coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries and ensure shipments are properly prepared, documented, staged, and loaded.
  • Oversee the hand‑building and preparation of pallets for bulk freight shipments, including wrapping, labeling, documentation, staging, and loading.
  • Coordinate receipt of incoming freight and ensure deliveries are unloaded, inspected, documented, and stored in the appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Oversee forklift operations and ensure equipment is operated safely and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct and document daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of warehouse equipment, including required pre‑use forklift inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient warehouse and work environment.
  • Maintain appropriate supplies required for warehouse and facility operations, including pallets, stretch wrap, cleaning supplies, and safety equipment.
Inventory Management
  • Establish and maintain effective inventory control procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize losses, shortages, and variances.
  • Conduct weekly inventory quick counts and prepare updated monthly inventory reports identifying and explaining variances.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate and oversee full physical inventory counts twice annually, including weekend activities when required.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to ensure necessary products and materials are available to support operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP and other approved systems.
Order Fulfillment & Returns
  • Create, process, and receive purchase orders
  • Oversee the setup and processing of daily online store orders and provide backup support for MCO orders received by email.
  • Coordinate and assist with assembling kits and other materials required for order fulfillment.
  • Process product returns and RMAs in accordance with established procedures.
  • Investigate order and shipment discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • File and manage claims for damaged, lost, or stolen shipments with applicable carriers.
  • Work with the Director of Distribution and other internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies involving incoming shipments and orders sent to customers or partners.
Transportation & Distribution
  • Coordinate freight and ground transportation activities with appropriate carriers.
  • Evaluate shipping requirements and select appropriate transportation methods and carriers based on service requirements, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labeled, documented, and prepared for carrier pickup.
  • Monitor shipments and address delivery issues, delays, damages, and other transportation exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation and records.
Cross-Department & Event Support
  • Support the Development Department to support events, including delivery of event-specific supplies and materials, event setup and teardown, and logistical support throughout events.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to anticipate supply chain and fulfillment requirements and ensure operational readiness.
  • Provide guidance and support to warehouse associates and other personnel involved in fulfillment, receiving, shipping, and inventory activities.
Compliance, Safety & Continuous Improvement
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, ADA, local, state, and federal building, transportation, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the OSHA 300 log form.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, transportation, receiving, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and performance metrics for logistics and warehouse activities.
  • Monitor operational performance and use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to logistics, inventory, shipping, receiving, returns, and ERP transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, internal departments, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Logistics Officer.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related business degree preferred, but not required
Licenses and Certifications
  • CSCP, CLTD, CPSM, CPIM preferred, but not required
