Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Westchester, IL, is offering a Data Science Intern role within the Global Supply Chain and Operations team for Summer 2026. The internship focuses on data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development to support decision-making and KPI improvements.

You will work on ML forecasts, anomaly detection, and cross-functional collaboration while gaining exposure to data visualization and predictive modeling techniques.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Operations, CS, Data Science, or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written technical communication skills.
• Excel proficiency; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
• Ability to translate business needs into data requirements and distill insights from data.
• Reliable transportation to the facility each work day.
• Experience with Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead or assist in ML forecast projects and analytics initiatives.
• Develop and optimize dashboards and reports.
• Perform anomaly detection in reporting and KPI analysis.
• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from multiple sources.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and trends.
• Present findings to internal stakeholders with clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for actionable insights.
• Support building predictive models using statistical or ML techniques.
• Identify and help resolve data quality issues.
