Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with Python/data analysis experience and interest in AI, LLMs, and agentic approaches to science. Transportation to the facility is required daily.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field (data science, CS, AI, engineering, food science, chemical engineering, bioinformatics, computational chemistry).
• Experience with Python or data analysis for research, modeling, or automation is preferred.
• Familiarity with ML/AI concepts, image analysis, or computational chemistry is advantageous.
• Ability to organize, analyze, and clearly communicate technical results to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Review literature and emerging technologies related to predictive formulation, ML, AI, and automated data capture.
• Develop tools to automate data capture, data quality checks, feature extraction, and model workflows.
• Build predictive models and virtual experiment tools to explore formulation space and visualize results.
• Summarize progress and present recommendations and a final demo to project partners.
