Job summary

Leggett & Platt, a diversified manufacturer with a long history, is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to work hands-on with a large volume of data to support KPI development and supply chain decisions. The role focuses on data mining, forecasting support, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize stock placement, logistics plans, and process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of data analysis and developing business cases.
  • 2+ years’ experience in dashboarding, data visualization, and reporting.
  • 2+ years’ experience in SQL and manipulating large data sets in a database.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, ETL, data modeling, and working with Big Data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excited to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to business intelligence and data analysis.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate ambiguous business requirements into complex analyses and actionable insights.
  • A deep understanding of metrics, reporting tools, and data structures.
  • Experience in MRP environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work in groups or alone on projects.
  • Ability to align with forward vision and proactively seek solutions to achieving vision.

Responsibilities

  • Examine workflow and utilizing analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and streamline business processes, and enhance supply chain processes.
  • Data mining and analysis to understand and illustrate best practices in stock placement optimization, process development, and developing various logistic plans in order to enhance the distribution of goods.
  • Design, maintain, analyze supply chain metrics.
  • Communication to purchasing of any shortages of raw materials – follow up daily until answers are received.
  • Execution and maintenance or ad hoc analysis across the Supply Chain Organization.
  • Work cross functionally to define the assumptions, query the data, build the models and align stakeholders on the process for analyzing data and developing summary actionable information.
  • Support existing demand forecasting, inventory and production planning processes, learning existing models and practices.
  • Gather and integrate relevant data quickly and adapt existing plans to new information.
  • Support collaboration efforts across functions and will manage initiatives and projects from ideation to execution.
  • Support Exposure Planning and work with cross functional groups to limit the amount of Exposure and/or mitigate Exposure.

The Supply Chain Analyst at Leggett & Platt is a hands-on position that requires someone to work tactically, with a large volume of data.

The focus of this role is to develop and implement KPI’s, develop tools to aid in Supply Chain decisions, and utilize data to support key initiatives.

So, what will you be doing as Supply Chain Analyst

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 3-5+ years of industry experience in data analysis and developing business cases
  • 2+ years’ experience in dashboarding, data visualization, and reporting
  • 2+ years’ experience in SQL and manipulating large data sets in a database
