Job summary

Koch Foods Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to plan and schedule materials, manage procurement, and coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires strong Excel skills, ability to analyze production specs and inventory data, and to support warehousing and production planning in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred in supply chain, business administration, or related field
• 2+ years in supply chain, production, or material management
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and distribution
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic statistics
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule software and material procurement
• Create and maintain purchase orders in Canopy
• Verify receipt and delivery of orders with suppliers and logistics partners
• Build trucks to maximize capacity and reduce freight cost per pound
• Analyze specs for finished goods to understand BOMs and production setups
• Gather and analyze material usage data and maintain usage standards worksheet
• Analyze warehouse capacity (on-site and off-site) and transfer materials to optimize storage
• Plan and react to production schedule changes and other issues
• Enter order pricing and update system as changes occur
• All other relevant duties as assigned

Job description

• Responsible for planning and scheduling software, and material procurement.
  
• Create and maintain purchase orders in Canopy system.
  
• Verify receipt and delivery of orders with suppliers and third-party logistic partners.
  
• Build trucks to maximize capacity, reducing freight cost per pound.
  
• Analyze specs for finished goods to understand bill of materials and production setups.
  
• Gather and analyze material usage data, maintaining Supply Chain Material Usages Standards worksheet.
  
• Analyze warehouse (on-site and off-site) capacity, transferring materials between them to optimize storage space.
  
• Plan and react quickly to production schedule changes, and other unforeseen issues.
  
• Enter order pricing, and update system as changes occur.
  
• All other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or other closely related field of study preferred.
  
• 2+ years experience in supply chain, production, or material management.
  
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  
• Knowledgeable on Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
  
• Proficient with math and basic statistics.
  
• Able to apply analytical thinking, and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.

Physical Requirements

• Typical office environment within a manufacturing plant utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
• Frequently sit for long periods.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• May be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• May be exposed to damp, wet, and cold environments.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
