Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Supply Assistant for Central Services. This position is responsible for delivering and picking up department mail, packages, and freight across the UNR campus.

The role involves receiving, sorting, scanning, and redelivering packages, U.S. mail, and freight; training student employees to ensure accuracy and safety during delivery runs; preparing outgoing shipments and managing returns; completing paperwork; and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Six or more months of applicable experience as described in the job duties.
• A valid Class “C” Nevada driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
• Pre-employment screening for controlled substances is required.

Qualifications

• Six or more months of applicable experience as described in the job duties and graduation from high school or equivalent education.
• Persons offered employment in this position must submit a pre‑employment screening for controlled substances.
• A valid Class “C” Nevada driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

Schedule

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.

Compensation

Grade: Grade 23. In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and budgets.
