Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to strengthen the supplier base, qualify suppliers, and protect product integrity from first contact through receiving inspection. You will lead corrective actions, drive supplier performance, and partner with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to keep production running smoothly.

The role emphasizes AS9100D compliance, QMS principles, and Lean/CI tools as part of a disciplined execution culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, or operations.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of AS9100D, QMS principles, and aerospace quality standards (IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, J‑STD‑001).
• Solid analytical, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Experience with Lean/CI tools such as Kaizen Burst, SKP, VSM, 5S, Error Proofing, and Standard Work.

• Strengthen the Operational Excellence System across multiple production areas.

• Identify and mitigate supplier‑related risks that impact cost, schedule, quality, and customer commitments.
• Coach and develop Supplier Quality team members.
• Represent Supplier Quality during internal and external audits and ensure adherence to controlled processes.

Your Mission

As Supplier Quality Manager, you'll play a key role in strengthening KMM's supply base-qualifying suppliers, improving performance, and protecting product integrity from first contact through receiving inspection. You'll help drive reliable supplier quality and delivery while reducing supply chain risk. This role works closely with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and our suppliers to resolve issues, support capability development, and keep production running smoothly.

You'll bring strategic leadership that reinforces disciplined execution, AS9100D compliance, and the 7 QMS Principles across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Lead supplier qualification, audits, and ongoing performance monitoring

• Drive corrective action and cross‑functional problem solving using AS9100D clause‑level expertise

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, or operations

• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience

• Strong understanding of AS9100D, QMS principles, and aerospace quality standards (IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, J‑STD‑001)

• Solid analytical, communication, and decision‑making skills

• Experience with Lean/CI tools such as Kaizen Burst, SKP, VSM, 5S, Error Proofing, and Standard Work

Preferred: Experience in aerospace cable or wire harness assembly or AS9100‑driven environments.

A Day in This Role

Your day starts with a quick check on supplier performance and incoming inspection activity. You'll move between focused analysis and hands‑on collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Quality. When an issue arises, you'll lead a calm, structured response and help guide suppliers toward stronger capability. By the end of the day, you're turning what you've learned into clear direction that supports stable production and dependable customer outcomes.
