Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our growing team. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Supplier Quality and partner with design engineering, supplier industrialization, supply chain, and product quality teams to ensure conforming products.

This role supports PPAP efforts, sets quality standards with manufacturing partners, and leads root-cause analysis to drive a Zero Defect mindset across the supplier base. Domestic and international travel is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in quality, manufacturing, or production development.
• Knowledge of quality standards, approval processes, and manufacturing/process improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of SPC, Cpk, Gage R&Rs, PPAPs, and process qualification methodologies.
• Experience with supplier development, management, and auditing with global suppliers to industry quality standards (ISO9001, IATF16949, AS91000, etc.).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Establish incoming/outgoing quality standards and metrics for manufacturing partners
• Assist in development of raw material specifications
• Define and manage quality control and acceptance test procedures with the NPI team
• Lead failure/root cause analysis efforts
• Develop supplier quality documentation
• Drive Zero Defect mentality within the supply base
• Monitor supplier performance related to quality nonconformance
• Work with suppliers on PPAP
• Collaborate with Design and Reliability teams on system-level requirements
• Lead audits at suppliers to ensure conformance to specs
