Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Illinois seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer I to help drive Plexus Zero Defect Strategies and strengthen the supplier base, supporting supplier qualification, part qualification, and supplier management across the supply chain.

This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 1+ year of related experience; ASQ certifications are a plus. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply PFMEA, CP, and SPC to improve quality and compliance throughout Plexus operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1+ years related experience preferred.
• ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA, CMQOE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Qualification - Support supplier qualification as a team member in supplier selection and evaluation using a risk-based approach.
• Part Qualification - Connect part qualification activities into receiving inspection, using PPAP to flow requirements from Customers into the supply base.
• Supplier Management - Lead supplier corrective action activities and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Engineering Expertise - Apply PFMEA, CP and SPC to selected manufacturing technologies.
