Job summary

Lockheed Martin in St. Louis, MO, seeks a quality professional to apply quality principles across design, production, and supplier activities for make and/or buy products. You will review requirements, drawings, and procedures, and collaborate with program management and customers to uphold standards.

The role focuses on supplier quality integration for Aeronautics programs, including F-35 support, with emphasis on corrective actions and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Requires U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Experience with QMS (AS9100/ISO9001) and first-article inspections to AS9102.
  • Ability to interpret drawings (GD&T) and perform mechanical/electrical inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality issues.
  • Conduct product quality tests and statistical analyses to verify standards.
  • Lead/product failure investigations and MRB decisions; implement corrective actions.
  • Develop strategies to improve supplier performance and maintain certifications.

This position will support the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Supplier Quality Integration Team focusing on improving and managing supplier performance in the St Louis, MO area. While mainly focused on F-35, these suppliers do support other aeronautics programs.

Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline
  • Demonstrated expertise with Quality Management Systems (AS9100, ISO9001) including creation of inspection plans, execution of First‑Article Inspections to AS9102, and management of special‑process compliance
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and performing mechanical/electrical inspections; able to identify supplier quality deficiencies and drive corrective‑action implementation
  • Physical capability to work in a manufacturing environment, including prolonged standing and use of required Personal Protective Equipment (protective footwear, eye/hearing protection, etc.)
Desired Skills
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or
  • Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
  • AS9100 interpretation and application
Experience
  • Aerospace production experience
  • Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment
  • Experience working with Government customers
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
