Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Sector – Power Distribution & Controls Assemblies (PDCA) in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The role reports to the Quality Manager and focuses on monitoring supplier quality systems and driving improvement with key stakeholders.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 3+ years of quality engineering experience, and willingness to travel locally and nationally up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to travel locally and nationally to supplier sites up to 10%.
• Eaton does not offer immigration sponsorship or relocation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier nonconformances (MRB, escapes, deviations).
• Drive root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Verify effectiveness of CAPA actions.
• Track supplier KPIs (quality, delivery, COPQ).
• Review and approve PPAP with suppliers.
• Develop and implement inspection/testing for incoming materials.
