Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an experienced supplier quality engineer to drive supplier development and production readiness for structural components. You will work with design, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure robust processes and delivery.

Key focus areas include DFM/DFA improvement, APQP/PPAP/PFMEA leadership, welding qualifications (WPS/PQR/WPQ), and NDT support. Travel to supplier facilities is expected as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier development and production readiness for structural components.
• Review and improve DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes.
• Work with suppliers on welding, stamping, laser cutting, bending, plating, and fabrication.
• Lead APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and supplier quality activities.
• Manage welding qualifications including WPS, PQR, and WPQ.
• Support weld inspection and NDT such as UT, MPI, and LPI.
• Handle supplier issues using SCAR, 8D, RCA, and corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier audits and monitor process capability and quality.
• Support NPI/NPD projects from design through production.
• Identify risks related to materials, manufacturing, transportation, and supplier capacity.
• Work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and suppliers.
• Travel to supplier facilities when required.
