Job summary

Google Sunnyvale is seeking a mid-level Supplier Quality Engineer for Networking to own supplier quality and reliability across OEM networking hardware. You will collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Network Operations to set requirements, drive NPI readiness, and lead root-cause analyses with suppliers.

You will analyze field data, manage KPIs, and influence design and sourcing decisions to improve fleet availability and total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in supplier quality, reliability or hardware quality for networking/server/data center.
• Experience with OEM suppliers and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier quality and reliability performance for OEM networking hardware.
• Partner with Hardware Engineering and Network Operations to define and enforce quality requirements.
• Lead supplier engagement during NPI phases for scale and failure risk assessment.
• Investigate field quality issues with deep root-cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers.
• Define and track supplier KPIs and conduct supplier audits.
