Job summary

AM General LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Department during model changes and new product development. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers to ensure parts conform to specifications in a demanding manufacturing environment.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive/defense manufacturing quality, knowledge of AIAG tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC), and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years in Automotive/Defense or manufacturing quality role.
• Experience with AIAG core tools and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Department during changes and new model development.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure conformance to specs.
• Lead investigations on non-conforming parts and drive corrective actions.
• Contain non-conforming material and manage disposition with suppliers.
• Track supplier performance metrics and support base improvements.
• Promote safe, respectful work environment and adherence to policies.
