Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is assisting a global automotive manufacturing leader in Detroit, MI to hire a Supplier Quality Engineer. You will join the Quality Department supporting supplier quality, manufacturing and cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on reducing defects and ensuring uninterrupted production.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, 1–3 years in supplier quality or related roles, knowledge of GD&T, MSA and rigorous problem-solving, and willingness to travel

• 1–3 years of supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or related engineering experience.
• Knowledge of GD&T, MSA, and quality problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier performance and drive timely corrective actions to ensure quality and uninterrupted production supply.
• Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and root cause investigations using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis.
• Conduct supplier audits to verify product conformity, process compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Monitor supplier quality KPIs including DPPM, Quality Complaints, and On-Time Shipment performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical quality issues and implement containment actions.

Pay Range: $35-$45/hour (depending on experience)
