Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of materials, components, and services from suppliers to meet manufacturing and customer standards.

You will lead supplier quality performance metrics, audits, corrective actions, and containment, while collaborating with design, service, and manufacturing teams to drive reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in supplier quality or manufacturing quality in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between the manufacturing facility, supply chain team and suppliers regarding quality issues.
• Establish and maintain supplier quality performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct supplier audits to evaluate and ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
• Develop and implement processes to manage supplier-related non-conformance issues, including SCARs and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with service and engineering teams to improve design quality and reliability.
