Vallourec North America seeks a Quality Supplier Engineer to ensure supplier and subcontractor compliance with Vallourec requirements. You will audit suppliers against API Q1, ISO 9001 and related standards, drive corrective actions, and own supplier quality performance through KPIs.

Role emphasizes qualification of new suppliers, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across procurement and manufacturing to meet regulatory and customer standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering or quality-related discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing QMS role required.
• Lead Auditor certification / training (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, API Q1) preferred.
• Experience conducting audits.
• Preferred to have API 5CT or API 5L experience.

Responsabilidades

• Supports qualification of new suppliers / subcontractors and maintenance of existing suppliers / subcontractors.
• Collaborates with suppliers to ensure product quality standards are met and maintained.
• Schedules, conducts supplier audits and assessments to evaluate quality systems and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Develops and implements supplier quality improvement plans and corrective actions.
• Supports maintenance of Vendor list and monitors supplier performance using required KPIs in coordination with the required teams.
• Reviews and approves supplier quality documentation and coordinates with technical specialists as required.
• Raises and drives closure of NCRs with procurement teams and focuses on root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for supplier-related quality issues.
• Works cross-functionally with procurement and manufacturing to resolve quality concerns, update standards and requirements.
• Supports development (products, services and process flows) by qualifying new suppliers and participating in design reviews.
• Maintains documentation and records related to supplier quality activities and compliance with internal systems.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory and customer-specific requirements throughout the supply chain.
• Supports initiatives to consolidate and standardize Quality across Vallourec legal entities.
